Dehradun: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reported an overall pass percentage of 93.7 in Class X examinations after the much-awaited results were announced on Wednesday. Dehradun region recorded a slightly lower pass percentage of 91.5, ranking 16th among the 22 CBSE zones in the country, as per the official results.Some students in Uttarakhand achieved exemplary results, scoring cent per cent. Harsha Ariprasath, a student from Udham Singh Nagar’s Delhi Public School in Rudrapur, is one of them. She scored 500/500. The impressive results reflected her academic brilliance and consistency to achieve the feat, authorities said.A beaming Harsha said, “Having opted for physics, chemistry and maths with psychology in Class XI, I aspire to become a professor and contribute to the country’s development.” Her proud father, Ariprasath Ponnurangam, is a DGM at Tata Motors, while her mother Sathya Ariprasath, is a homemaker. Both expressed great happiness over their daughter’s score.“Harsha’s exemplary achievement is a shining example of what dedication, hard work and clarity of purpose can accomplish.
She has set a benchmark for her peers and truly embodies the spirit of excellence we all strive to achieve,” said Sardar Surjeet Singh, MD of Delhi Public School.In the state capital, Dehradun, Rudraksh Rawat earned the distinction of topping the school with an aggregate of 99.4% marks. Director HS Mann, the school’s principal, and staff were overjoyed after “as many as 142 students of the school secured above 90% marks”.Also, Munazza Ashraf from The Asian School scored 98.6% and topped her school. Swarnika Rana from Janunsar Public School, Chakrata, secured 99.2%. Similarly, Chitraksh Sood from Shikshankur School, Dehradun, scored 99% and topped his school.Aryaman Agrawal, a Class X student of Parvati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar School, has achieved 98.2% -- setting an example for other students in Nainital. Agrawal is the topper in Nainital town, according to his school.A school official said, “Agrawal is known for his dedication, discipline, consistency and hard work... He has been a top performer right through the academic year.”In Haridwar, Nishita from Roorkee’s Mount Litera School secured 99.4%.
